I have been to Anguilla many times and have stayed at Carimar before. It looks like Blue waters and Carimar are of similar style, however I am not at all familiar with the area of Blue Waters. Is it on the same beach as Covecastles ? I thought it would be quieter there then Meads bay. I am not sure but I dont believe there are any other hotels near BW. Any info and input would be appreciated. thanks

Altamer is on one side and, most significantly, Trattoria is on the other. Cove Castles is down the beach from Trattoria. Spectacular views; good walking (long); and the swimming (at least in front of TT) is really wonderful. It's a very special and very quiet beach.

You are correct - much quieter. Having stayed at BW at least once, and recently twice, a year since 2002, we recommend it highly. It has only 9 accommodations, two of which are 2 BR units, and it is ON the beach, which most of Carimar's rooms are not. We recommend BW highly.

I have stayed at both, and prefer Carimar. The beach in front of Blue Waters is rocky, so you really have to walk down in fron of Trattoria to get into the water. This was a big turn-off for me.
