Ku - Who has stayed there recently?

Planning a week's visit in July, 2010 (three couples) and booked rooms at Ku based upon their proximity to Shoal Bay and pictures on website.
Comment in this forum about about renovations in August have me concerned. If anyone who has recently stayed there can give us feedback on their stay, it would be much appreciated.
Also, do the kitchens include a full-size fridge as we will most likely be stopping at the grocery store on our way from Blowing Point, and don't want to overbuy.

We've always stayed at Ku and did so again for two weeks last month. The intended plans for new ownership and extensive renovations are all on hold -- nothing planned for the immediate future.

Kitchens are complete; full frig., microwave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, plates, dishes, pots, pans, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, TV, radio, internet hookup, radio, alarm clock, wall safe, etc. Each unit is totally self contained and has air conditioning.

Ku guests have free internet service at the on-site mini store as well as discounts at the boutique shop also on-site.

The staff is very friendly, attentive and quick to respond to your needs.
