After seeing the great photos submitted by Ziggystar we thought a photo contest was in order.
Since this is a new thing, anyone can submit a photo they took on vacation in any year, (the photos can be old ones)
If it works out then we will have a contest once a month just like the trip reports.
Members will vote on the best photo.
Winners will receive a free T-shirt, mug or beachbag.
Rules:
There is no nudity allowed on Anguilla and therefore there is no nudity allowed in the photo contest.
If you have questions about how to upload your photo just post it in this section and we will sort it out.

As you can all see Jonz has submitted a wonderful photo. Since Jonz was successful maybe they will share with the group on just how they did it.

Well, I found out that I can't use the pictures I have on Shutterfly, because it is a shared website. I had to upload them to Yahoo.
Then just open the picture in Yahoo (or wherever you store your pictures), copy the link from your browser, then click img above, paste the link and then click img again and the picture shows - if you hover your cursor over the word img it will show you the series. |

The important part - you can't upload the picture directly to the Anguilla Forum. You have to have the picture already uploaded to some other site - such as Yahoo.

Hi PP, Sometimes the images won't show if the website you use has password access. If not, try right clicking the actual photo on the website, don't use the url. at the top of the page.
When you right click the image it will give you properties and one of them is the url. of the photo. That is the code that you use.
If you can email me the photo or the link to the page I might be able to help you.

A few things:
1. You want to start a new topic for your picture, not put it in this thread.
2. You need to have the picture hosted in a public place. I think you might be linking to an email attachment - which will not work. |

If I cut and paste that link, it does nto come up so is not in a place where everyone can see it. I also tried removing everything after ".jpg" and it told me I did not have permission to view that directory.
Therein lies your problem |
